Is this hard to set up?
No — adding an animal takes about a minute, and ordering a device is a normal checkout. Most owners are fully set up on their first animal in under five minutes.
What if I only have a couple of animals?
Then Exhibitor is free — up to 5 animals, no subscription, with the same tap-secured records. It is what most 4-H and FFA families start on. Breeder is $19/month for up to 50 animals when you outgrow it.
Do I have to buy a device for every animal?
Yes, one device per animal — that's what makes each animal's record individually tamper-proof. Devices are $10 each, or $7.50 when you order four or more in one go, with flat $5 shipping. Organization plans include their first devices free: two on Operation, ten on Ranch.
What happens after my first free month?
Your plan renews at your tier's normal monthly rate. Individual accounts get month one free; organizations get month one at half price instead, along with their free devices. You can change plans or cancel any time from Account → Plan & Billing — no phone call, no retention pitch.
Can I edit records without the physical device?
Yes, until that animal's device has actually been delivered — after that, only a physical tap unlocks editing, which is exactly what makes the record trustworthy to a buyer.
What if I run an organization or ranch, not a solo operation?
Operation ($49/month, up to 250 animals) and Ranch ($99/month, unlimited) both include unlimited team members with their own permissions, 50% off your first month, and free devices to start — two on Operation, ten on Ranch. Ranch adds multiple locations, white-label branding and API access.
